WEB SOLUTIONS
At AB&O we have developed a structured approach to achieving an optimal solution for our Clients. We have a firm belief that a Web Presence is more important than a Web Site.
To ensure the best Web solution our proven approach is to work in collaboration with our Clients, following a Phase by Phase Project Lifecycle, divided into the following phases….
Project Scope Definition
- Project Specification and Planning
- Design and Development
- Production and Implementation
- Usability Testing
- Deployment
- Performance Measurement
During Phase 1 we establish the Client Profile, the scope of the project, target audience, short and long term goals of the Web Site, site content, budget and timeframes.
Phase 2 is the “blueprint” for the Web Site. We start with the Project and Creative Design Brief, and from there move on to the functional and technical specifications of the project. We ensure we have detailed company information and maintain company branding when developing colour schemes and layouts. The final steps in this phase involve mapping out the timeline and gaining formal approval from the Client before moving on to Phase 3.
In Phase 3, using the approved specifications and schemes our design team structure the Web Site design and develop the Site creative, i.e. visual design graphic templates for each different page type within the Site.
In the production and implementation phase the graphic templates are sliced up and built into HTML, then programming commences to integrate the pages into the site’s back end and add extra functionality as required.
The last, but certainly not the least of the phases in the project lifecycle, is the performance measurement phase. This is an extremely critical part of ensuring your web presence as it gives us the insight into who is using the Site and how the Web Site is being used. This phase aims at answering two key questions:
Are the objectives of the site being met; and
What is the return on investment.
Analysing the performance of a Web Site gives the Client detailed insights into the usability and the success of the web strategy, to ensure the site is meeting its success criteria.
SEARCH ENGINE AND SITE OPTIMISATION
Submitting regularly to search engines and setting up link exchanges are external methods of driving traffic to your web site. But there are other internal techniques that should be applied in any quest to improve search engine ranking.
Search engine optimization can do a lot for your traffic, just like a good retail location.
